Chapter 6: Back at Home

     They arrived at the house early on Monday morning.  Inside Morgan was surprised to find Luke toddling around the living room and babbling happily to himself.  

     "What are you doing up so early little one," Morgan asked going to the toddler.

     Luke babbled at her and lifted his arms for the universal request to be picked up.

     Morgan laughed and picked up the toddler before going to the kitchen to make breakfast for the rest of her family.  The toddler babbled from the high chair while she cooked.  Morgan smiled and talked back as if the baby was saying real words.

     Teddy was the first one up, he pressed a kiss to his son's head and Morgan's cheek before taking a plate.  Morgan smiled at her boys before going through the house to make sure it was clean and to check if the old toys her kids had used were out of the back room.

     While Ani, Teddy, and the girls went out and about their day's at school and work, Morgan played with Luke.  There were a few times during the day when her stomach felt queasy, almost like she was going to be sick but it always passed.

     Luke took a nap in the afternoon and the girls returned home.  Morgan helped Rhi with her schoolwork, but Wyn ignored her and went into the bedroom.  Moments later the radio turned on at a loud volume.

     That evening Morgan realized why she was feeling off throughout the day.  She went to the bedroom Merlin was staying in and knock softly.  Merlin opened the door.

     Morgan smiled and slipped inside the room.  She looked at Luke sleeping in his bed before turning back to Merlin.

     "What is it?" he asked.

     "I have some news.  But I'm not sure how you're going to take it," she said.

     Merlin just raised a brow and crossed his arms as he waited for her to continue. 

     "I'm pregnant," she said.

     Merlin just looked at her for a minute before the implications sunk in.

     "You mean..." he trailed off.

     Morgan just nodded.  Merlin placed a hand on her still flat stomach, over the spot where their child was growing.  He smiled and leaned into Morgan resting his forehead against hers.  Morgan returned his smile.

     Children were rare for Blood-Born and to have another so soon after her girls, Morgan was in awe of this miracle.

     "We're going to have a baby," she said.

Random Ramblings...

   So here's another chapter.  I'm almost caught up to where I've played.  Pretty soon I'll have some fresh material to bring out.  The last couple chapters have been short but that's all that felt right to include.  Sometimes that's going to be all there is.  I'm just having fun with this story.

  Luke is Teddy's son (obviously since I mentioned it in the story) and if it hasn't been made clear before, he's an alien.  Luke, Teddy, Padme, Rhiannon, Anakin, and Tatum are all alien's. (Luke's bio-mommy is also an alien in the community, she may or may-not pop up in later chapters).  Merlin, Morgan and Bronwynn are Vampires aka "Blood-Born".  (I've written these weeks and months apart so I don't always recall what I've posted in previous Ramblings so I may end up saying the same thing multiple times.  Sorry if I'm repeating things but I don't feel like reviewing old posts and this bugs you but oh well....)  Please enjoy.
