Chapter 4: First Day Away

     Morgan and Merlin spent the morning packing for their trip to Granite Falls.  Morgan let the children know she would be gone for the weekend and that they would need to help their father around the house.

     Teddy and Rhiannon wished them a safe trip, Bronwynn stood with her arms crossed and looking away from them.  She shrugged her mother off when Morgan tried to give her a hug before she left.  Morgan watched as she stomped out of the living room.  Rhiannon gave a one armed shrug of her own before following her sister out.  

     "I'll talk to her Mom," Teddy said.

     "I wish she would stop behaving like this.  It isn't the first time I've had a lover other than your father," Morgan sighed.

     "It's the first time she's seen it.  Knowing it and seeing it are two different things." Teddy reminded her.

     "You are right.  How did you get so smart?" she asked.

     "I've got two of the smartest women for my mothers," Teddy smirked.

     "Flatterer," Morgan mock scolded with a light slap on his arm.

     Morgan looked up at the cabin she and Merlin rented for their trip.

     "Looks cozy," Merlin commented.

     "Hush.  We're only going to be here for a couple days and you need the roof or else we'd be camping in a tent," Morgan reminded him.

     "True," Merlin agreed as they dropped their bags inside the door and picked up the fishing rods from their spot in the corner of the living room.

     The two walked outside and down to the nearby river to start fishing .

     After a night spent fishing Merlin returned to the house as the sun began to creep over the horizon.

     Morgan decided to explore the woods and start collecting plants and insects for the herbal remedies Merlin was planning to teach her later.

     While she was going around she found a cave hidden behind some branches.  Morgan quickly made the decision to check it out and ran over to it.  Ducking her head to enter the cave Morgan traveled through the darkness inside.

     After traveling a ways she left the dark and entered a clearing flooded with light.  Morgan continued exploring and collecting plants and insects as she went.

     In the center of the clearing was a house.  Morgan approached it.  Outside she could see a sim tending to a garden.

     "Hello," Morgan said approaching the strange sim.

Random Ramblings...

   So here's another chapter.  This was written almost a month after the previous chapter.

   So I'm just getting back into posting again.  Hopefully, I'll be more on top of it and post regularly.  Post comments to really keep me motivated. Please.
